The Colony Wars Recreation is a dedicated Minecraft server based in the United Kingdom, designed to revisit and bring back to life the classic gameplay of Colony Wars after the original server was shut down in May 2015. This server is currently running version 1.20 of Minecraft and features four distinct colonies. Players engage in combat with the objective of eliminating members of the opposing colonies to achieve victory. To support their efforts, participants are required to gather resources such as ores and wood to acquire gold, which is essential for constructing buildings that enhance their weaponry.
At present, the server allows for full gameplay experiences and has implemented eight unique classes, which are Cloaker, Scout, Archer, General, Mage, Peasant, Inferno, and Dark Knight. While there are currently only two maps available for play, one of them is a faithful recreation of the original Canyon map, and the other is based on forest hills. This setup aims to provide both nostalgic and novel experiences for players who are familiar with the original Colony Wars while attracting new participants who are eager to engage in this immersive multiplayer environment.
