DownRiver Vanilla SMP is excited to announce the launch of its Season 2, coinciding with the upcoming 1.21 update for Minecraft. The server offers a classic vanilla Minecraft experience enhanced with quality-of-life features such as fast leaf decay, player heads, and integration with Discord, creating an inviting environment for players. Whether you prefer to participate actively in the shopping district or enjoy a quieter lifestyle as a hermit, DownRiver aims to be a welcoming community for all players.
The new map is set to launch on March 15th, featuring a world size of 1,000 by 1,000 blocks for the first six weeks. During this initial period, the community will engage in collaborative gameplay, complete challenges for rewards, and participate in weekly competitions. Players will also work together on building the spawn area, themed around the Ancient Greeks versus the Ancient Romans. After the first thirty days, the world will gradually expand, culminating in a larger expansion following the update. Interested players are encouraged to join the Discord server to apply and take part in this exciting community adventure.
