Abyss SMP is a Minecraft server located in the United Kingdom, created by a team of enthusiasts who are passionate about antiquity-themed gameplay. The server, managed by the owner team and administrators, draws inspiration from the popular Stoneworks Minecraft servers. Unlike many other servers that focus on medieval themes, Abyss SMP immerses players in a setting that spans from 1000 BC to 300 AD. Although players who deviate from this timeframe won't be banned, they will receive a warning, as staying true to the antiquity theme is crucial for maintaining the server's unique atmosphere. This concept has fostered a growing community that shares a name taken from a fantasy religion present in their previous server, Olympus.
The server is currently in version 1.21.4 and has plans to upgrade to a public version 1.22 soon. Interested players can apply for a spot on the whitelist through their Discord, titled "Tales from the Abyss." At the moment, they operate a single Aternos server but are in the process of building a home server designed to accommodate up to 500 players.
